I build web applications end to end — Java, Spring & JavaScript on production environments, with a strong focus on clean front-end and UI/UX.
My name is Mario and I was born in Ourense in 2003. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Vigo, after an enriching Erasmus experience in Oradea, Romania. I recently completed a Master's Degree in Software Engineering and Computer Systems, with the goal of deepening my knowledge in the development of advanced technological solutions.
From a young age I pursued a passion for technology, a dream that I now bring to life as a web developer at Balidea, a leading company in the Galician tech sector.
In the past I was also part of Auria Technologies, an association where I participated in large-scale projects. Among them, I contributed to the design of an autonomous system for a Formula Student AI UK '25 race car, an experience that allowed me to apply and expand my knowledge in real-world environments.
I am a proactive person with a firm commitment to continuous improvement: I stay up to date with the latest trends and tools in the IT field, and I approach every challenge with ambition and dedication. My goal is to strengthen my background in Software Engineering by focusing on agile methodologies, scalable architectures, and design patterns. Likewise, I aim to refine my full-stack profile with a particular focus on front-end development and UI/UX design.
In the medium to long term, I aspire to take on project management roles, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and ensuring the delivery of efficient solutions aligned with user needs. Moreover, I am passionate about video games and logo design, interests that complement my technical vision and enhance my ability to create innovative ideas.
Balidea ·
Full Stack development of web applications in production environments for corporate clients, using Java, JSP, Struts2 and Spring on the back end and responsive interfaces with HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript on the front end. I integrate SOAP APIs with XML data handling, build automated business reports with Jaspersoft Studio, and work under SCRUM with corporate GitLab repositories. Member of the internal AI adoption program with GitHub Copilot.
Auria Technologies ·
Took part in developing the autonomous driving system for a competition vehicle (Formula Student AI UK '25, Silverstone). I programmed perception and control modules in Python on the ROS framework under Linux, handled the team's internal web development and network configuration for communication between vehicle nodes, and represented the team at official events and international competitions.
At Auria Technologies, we work on multiple projects. In all of them, we use Linux, and in most cases, Python. Our projects also require the use of ROS, Bash, HTML, JS, CSS, and other technologies.
One of the most outstanding projects we have worked on involves the design of an autonomous system for car control. With this project, we competed in Formula Student AI UK '25 at the legendary Silverstone circuit.
In this competition, I had the opportunity to meet brilliant people from other leading universities in the field, as well as connect with pioneering companies in the field of autonomous driving.
"Get There!" is a video game designed using Unity and coded in C#. The objective is to control a ball to collect 15 coins scattered across the map before the timer runs out. The game features a dynamic timer, coin counter, pause functionality, and settings for audio adjustments.
"Geometry In Space" is an educational project designed in Processing, aimed at helping children learn about the details of various geometric shapes in a fun and engaging way.
This project is about a to-do tasks list. This desktop application was designed in Electron using HTML, JavaScript, and CSS. Additionally, it was also developed using native HTML, all with the goal of analyzing performance differences the application might exhibit.
